Sexual health issues are not easy to discuss for some of us.
Fortunately, we are experts in starting the conversation.

Confio Health offers the following sexual health services at low- to no-cost: STI testing and treatment; HIV testing and treatment, biomedical HIV prevention (PrEP and PEP), sexual health exams, and medication access services.

Gay men can experience sexual health issues at any age, although some conditions tend to become more prevalent as we grow older. Because most of these conditions are treatable, it’s important to understand the symptoms and know the options. We help patients regain and improve sexual health in a confidential, caring environment.

STI Testing and Treatment

A Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) is an infection that is spread through direct sexual contact. We test for gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia, HIV, and Hepatitis- A, B, and C. Some STIs are accompanied by symptoms such as a burning sensation while urinating or an abnormal discharge from the genitals, while others show no symptoms at all.

STI tests are conducted on a urine sample, blood sample, or a swab. Some STIs can easily be treated with medication while others can be managed so as to reduce their spread to others. We recommended that anyone who is sexually active gets tested for all STIs at least every 3 to 6 months.

Most of our patients report that they feel better immediately. Results can depend on the severity of your symptoms. Nausea generally improves within the first hour after treatment. Other common symptoms like headache, fatigue, and malaise are then next to subside. Once the IV therapy has started infusing, treatments generally take between 30-45 minutes to complete. Dehydration and vein size can pose a challenge when it comes to visibility and access. Our expert staff is specially trained in methods to overcome this challenge. Plus we offer a variety of gauge sizes.
